Have a question for Mike?

Here are some common questions asked by kids just like you!

Q. How old do I have to be to qualify for a bike?
A. Mikes Bikes is designed for kids that are between the ages of 5 and 12.

Q. How many bikes is Mike giving away Christmas 2012?
A. Mike is giving away 100 new bikes for the 2012 Christmas season

Q.How do I get a free bike from Mike?
A. Well thats really easy! Simply write, in the submission form, 250 words or less why you or if you’re a parent, teacher or guardian writing in, say why your child should receive a bike. Its really that easy!

Q. Is this for real?
A. Yes it is, and depending on the outcome this year, Mike plans on doing this every year!

Q.Where do the bikes come from?
A.All the bikes are purchased locally in our community

Q. Are helmets included?
A. Because proper fitting helmets are so critical for safety when riding a bike, it would be too difficult for mike to give you the right helmet! So no we dont give you a helmet but have a community sponsor that will provide your child a helmet for a very reduced price!

Q. Why do you need to know my height and gender?
A. So we can give you the properly sized bike and in the right colour!

Hi Mike,
I am a nationally certified Can-Bike instructor and member of the CV Cycling Coalition. We have been giving safe cycling courses to many adults and children over the last few years and would like to offer (free of charge) every child who receives a bicycle through you wonderful program a free lesson that will give them the knowledge and confidence to ride safely on our roads.
I would like to discuss this with you further. Please contact me by email, or by phone (338-1653).

Hi Chad,
We would like to give as many children as possible the opportunity to get a bike. With that said, if you would like to request 4 bikes for you family, please feel free. :)
